Muang Thong clear on top

Muang Thong United yesterday pulled clear in top spot by beating Bangkok United 3-1 in the Thailand Premier League at the Thai-Japan stadium.

Datakorn Thonglao scored twice in the first half to give them a 2-0 lead at half-time. After the restart, Bangkok United hit back through Leandro Martins.

However, Muang Thong sealed the result in injury time when Milan Bubalo added their third goal.

At Chalermprakiat Stadium, hosts BEC Tero Sasana remained unbeaten but drew 1-1 with Chiang Rai United to drop points.

Chiang Rai scored through Fernando Ferreira just before half-time but Chanathip Songkrasin seized on a rebound to equalise early in the second half.

At Rajamangala stadium, Osotspa M-150 Saraburi defeated Army United 5-3, thanks largely to a hat-trick from Anthony Komenan. Elsewhere, Ratchaburi beat Samut Songkhram 3-1.

On Saturday, Buriram United defeated Police United 2-0 to remain in contention.

In other matches, Air Force defeated Chainat Hornbill 3-0; Songkhla United defeated Suphanburi 3-2; Si Sa Ket lost to Singhtarua 0-1 and Bangkok Glass defeated PTT Rayong 5-2.
